The Connecticut Sun shut down the Indiana Fever and rookie superstar Caitlin Clark for a 93-69 win in the WNBA Playoffs behind a triple-double from superstar Alyssa Thomas.

Defensively, the Sun began with DiJonai Carrington on Clark, switched to Bonner in the second quarter, and then to Mabrey in the third. Clark struggled in the postseason opener, finishing with just 11 points on 4-17 shooting.

Indiana and Connecticut will play a best-of-three series in the first round of the WNBA playoffs. No. 3 seed Connecticut will play the first two games of the series at home, while No. 6 Indiana gets the deciding Game 3 at home, if necessary.
