Amsterdam police were bracing for yet another night of unrest on Tuesday as the Dutch capital grapples with antisemitic violence that started with attacks against visiting Israeli football fans last week.

After clashes and attacks on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam late last week, Dutch authorities say there were both antisemitic attacks and also attacks by Israeli fans, who ripped down Palestinian flags and chanted anti-Arab slurs.

Dutch police on Monday said they had arrested five more people for their suspected involvement in attacks on Israeli football supporters late last week which authorities have condemned as antisemitic.

Amsterdam authorities are preparing for another night of protests just one day after three people were arrested for smashing a window of a tram. This comes days after an attack on Israeli soccer fans.

It was reported that some of the players, aged 13, were spat on during the game as well as allegedly being threatened with knives.
