From his hospital bed, 29-year-old Marx Jean says he’s been driving for Lyft for five years. But on Tuesday night, he agreed to an off-the-books ride from a Fort Worth apartment complex.

Police say a Lyft driver was shot at the end of a fare Tuesday night in Far South Fort Worth. They were called to an apartment complex near Sycamore School and Crowley Roads at about 8 p.m.
