According to the Managing Director of Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC), Ashwini Bhide, Metro Line 3 is poised to be commissioned very soon, subject to clearance by the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS).

Key stations undergone name changes include Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport T1 (previously Domestic Airport), Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport T2 (formerly International Airport), and Jagannath Shankar Sheth Metro (formerly Mumbai Central Metro).

Mumbai: The first phase of the Metro 3 or Aqua Line from Aarey Colony-JVLR to Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), will have fares ranging between Rs 10 and Rs 50 depending on the distance. The maximum fare will increase once the second phase between BKC and Cuffe Parade gets operational.

The first phase of the metro is expected to be operational next week. The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation is working on the rest of the line, with completion expected by March 2025.
