Home Depot Inc.’s third-quarter results this week gave a glimpse into the looming issue of tariffs for major U.S. retailers.  During the conference call to discuss the results, Home Depot executives discussed the possible implications of President-elect Donald Trump’s proposal to impose new tariffs,

The home-improvement retailer said sales came in higher than expected in the third quarter as weather around the country normalized and as demand rose for certain home projects.
