A brush fire broke out in a park on the northern tip of Manhattan, sending smoke billowing across New York City.

The fire, in Inwood Hill Park at the northern tip of Manhattan, followed brush fires that burned in Brooklyn, the Bronx and New Jersey over the past week.

The FDNY is fighting two stubborn wildfires in upper Manhattan and Queens tonight, as dangerously dry conditions endure across the region.
