Simon Harris and Mahmoud Abbas are expected to discuss efforts for a ceasefire and hostage release and the urgent need for aid deliveries to Gaza.

The Taoiseach has told President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas that he will continue to speak out for Palestine in the EU and other international forums, and urge other countries to recognise the state of Palestine.
