Williams signed with the Jets this offseason after a serious injury in 2023. That held him back, then he really fell out of favor in New York when Rodgers was critical of him.

A person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press that the New York Jets traded wide receiver Mike Williams to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a fifth-round pick in next year’s draft.

Later, the receiver celebrated with a subtle jab at Aaron Rodgers. Before the Jets traded Willians to Pittsburgh, he was called out by Rodgers after the Oct. 14 loss to the Bills. The quarterback said that Williams ran the wrong route which resulted in an interception and lost the Jets the game.
