Nonetheless, season 2 will draw the curtain on "Arcane," giving us the final chapter in Jinx and Vi's story and the long-brewing tensions between Piltover and Zaun. Netflix is rolling out the new season in three three-episode acts, the first of which debuted over the weekend with Act II coming on November 16 and Act III on November 23.

Arcane's new season will be released in three parts: Act One, Act Two and Act Three. Act One of season 2 debuts on Netflix on Saturday, Nov. 9. You can then stream Act Two on Nov. 16 and the final act for this series on Nov. 23.

Arcane Season 2 has been an instant smash hit, with it being the most popular Netflix show in over 60 countries on day 1.

After a patience-testing three-year wait, Arcane season 2 has finally premiered on Netflix. Picking up exactly where its predecessor left off, the new instalment opens with Piltover's remaining council members clashing on how best to deal with the Zaun rebels, as Caitlyn and Vi vow to take down Jinx once and for all.

The first three episodes of Arcane season 2, named Act I, arrive on Nov. 9. The second trio of episodes, Act II, drops on Nov. 16, with the final three episodes of the show, Act III, arriving on Nov. 23. There are no current plans to make a season 3 of Arcane.

Fueled by its dense storytelling, detailed animation, gripping action and a talented voice cast led by Hailee Steinfeld, the adaptation of hit video game League of Legends even made history, becoming the first animated series from a streaming service to win the Primetime Emmy in the animation category (some even praised Arcane’s visual style as the TV equivalent of groundbreaking animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse).

Progress and power both have a price. Three years after its Season 1 debut, Netflix’s “Arcane” returns to close out the story as Vi and Jinx battle it out, rich utopia versus dystopian underbelly (a tale as old as time).
