Tyrone man Conor McKenna becomes only the second All-Ireland Senior Football medallist to also play in a winning Australian Football Rules Grand Final team.

He played for less than ten minutes but it was enough for Conor McKenna to etch his name into the history books this morning by becoming the first Ulster-born player in history to win an AFL Premiership after the Brisbane Lions demolished the Sydney Swans 60-120 at the MCG.

CONOR MCKENNA HAS BECOME just the second man to complete a unique sporting double, as his Brisbane Lions side won the Grand Final this morning at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. In front of a crowd of 100,013, last year’s losing finalists simply hammered Sydney Swans and led 120-60 by the end of the final quarter.
